The Haiti Micah Project
Mission & Beliefs
The HMP believes that our Christian faith calls us to seek justice for the weak and the vulnerable, maintain the rights of the destitute, and serve the needy.
In the Hebrew Scriptures, the prophet Micah asked this important question, “He has told you, O mortal, what is good; and what does the Lord require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God?” Indeed, the Lord has shown us what is good. The same faithfulness that binds God’s people into a covenant relationship with God must bind God’s people to another.
As the Haiti Micah Project, we are called to carry out this vision. We believe that every child has a right to clothing, shelter, nutritious meals, medical care, an education and to laughter. We believe that as stewards of God’s creation, we have received many blessings. Therefore, we are called to give of our time, talent and money to help others in need.
Through this project, we feel that we have a MICAH call – A Mission to Invest in Children and Adolescents in Haiti.
